13 June 2019 – Contiweb, a specialist in state-of-the-art technologies for printing, advanced drying and web-handling, today announces that it has renewed its partnership with Rotaweb, a leading distributor of web offset presses, to strengthen sales in Central America. Rotaweb previously distributed the company’s products prior to Contiweb’s independence from Goss last year.

The agreement will see Rotaweb reassume responsibility for the sales and service of Contiweb’s market-leading auxiliary equipment, inline finishing systems and enhancements. This comprises the uptime-enhancing Contiweb CS, engineered to offer automatic splicing at any roll diameter; along with the budget-friendly Contiweb FB flying paster, the ideal solution for newspaper and commercial print businesses. Rotaweb will also bundle Contiweb dyers and splicers with new presses.

According to Mauricio Guerra, Co-Founder and President at Rotaweb, Contiweb continues to lead the way in the manufacture of next generation dryers and splicers. He explains: “The dryers are designed to recycle excess solvent vapor as fuel, which ensures that they can produce almost all the energy required to run them. For print businesses, this means that they can secure substantial gas savings of up to 40%, allowing them to achieve significant cost savings and increase their throughput.”

According to Guerra, Contiweb’s Ecoset dryer has seen the largest adoption across the region. Compatible with all systems, including the widest and fastest 80- and 96-page presses, the Ecoset dryer combines reliability and quality into one. It is designed to utilize low temperatures and high air volumes, crucial to reducing the negative effects of heating the web. This ensures the output of higher gloss prints and reduces corrugation, enabling printers to meet the stringent quality requirements of even the most demanding clients.

En el acuerdo, Rotaweb asumirá de nuevo la responsabilidad de las ventas y servicio de los productos Contiweb líderes en el mercado: equipos auxiliares, sistemas de acabado en línea y mejoras. Esto incluye el Contiweb CS que mejora el tiempo de actividad, diseñado para ofrecer empalmes automáticos en cualquier diámetro de bobina; junto con el empalmador al vuelo Contiweb FB, la solución ideal para periódicos y negocios de impresión comercial. Rotaweb también ofrecerá paquetes con hornos de secado  y empalmadores Contiweb para rotativas nuevas.
