22 June 2016 – Dscoop, the Independent community of HP Graphic arts users, today announced the formation of the UK and Ireland Local Chapter, with the aim of supporting its 400+ members in-country. The group plans to deliver localised events and initiatives to inform, educate, encourage collaboration and assist members in growing their businesses, with the first event already lined up for 4th July 2016 in Windsor, UK.
“Local Dscoop events allow us to get up close and personal with industry experts and customers that can really help us to grow together,” commented Pureprint Group’s Aaron Archer, Chairman of the new UK and Ireland Local Chapter. “The exciting line-up of speakers and partners collaborating within the industry creates a unique opportunity to work locally and grow globally with Dscoop worldwide.”
The inaugural event, free to attend for Dscoop members, is set to be held at the prestigious Olympic venue, Dorney Lake. The event will consist of an educational and informative seminar programme during the day, followed by a social evening at the Windsor Races, offering attendees the chance to relax and socialise with their fellow Dscoop colleagues and industry partners.
The seminar programme features “not to be missed” presentations from HP Indigo’s General Manager, Alon Bar Shany; retail guru, Richard Askam; HP’s PrintOS Product Manager, Adam Goldthorp; branding agency Gyro’s Strategy Directory, Georgia Bradley; and Global Dscoop Chairman, Gary Peeling. Dscoop partners, including software, equipment and media suppliers, will also be on hand to discuss their latest service offerings and innovations following drupa.
“After a busy schedule of informative and insightful educational sessions throughout the day, the 4th July Independence Day race night will provide members with an ideal backdrop to network and socialise with colleagues,” explained Archer. “We are pleased to be able to offer a limited number of tickets for the evening event free of charge, having kindly been donated by Dscoop partners. As the first ever Local Chapter event in the UK, we have already seen a lot of interest from members, so we’d encourage everyone to register early to avoid disappointment.”
Along with Aaron Archer from Pureprint Group as Chairman, the new UK and Ireland Local Chapter will be run by Andrew Dalton from Alphagraphics, Alan Rigglesford from Clicks, John MacDonald from DG3 and Trevor Smith from Amberley Labels, supported by the central Dscoop team.
